What is A.C.T. Productions?
Amicus Community Theater (A.C.T. Productions) is dedicated to producing high-quality theatrical works while creating meaningful performance opportunities in the competitive Southern California market. The name Amicus, Latin for “friend” or “ally,” and commonly used in law to describe one who supports the court as an amicus curiae, reflects our founding values.
Founded by attorneys and performing arts advocates Rheannon Rozewski and Aleece Hanson, A.C.T. Productions is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for all participants. We are committed to inclusive casting practices that celebrate diverse backgrounds to ensure a welcoming environment where everyone has the opportunity to shine!

How We Run Auditions
At A.C.T. Productions, we believe artists shouldn’t be boxed into a single “type” or stressed about finding the perfect audition song. We want you to feel free to explore, take risks, and show us what excites you.
Our audition process is easy. For live auditions, you may choose any song from the show that corresponds to your first-choice role, or simply pick any musical theater song that suits your voice. If you’re interested in additional roles or cannot make the live auditions, simply submit a video audition singing your preferred characters’ songs.
Detailed instructions for submitting video auditions will be sent to everyone who signs up to audition for a specific show.
